Making Memories

Cindy (left) and Avril Joffe at avindy's studio.
In their historic midtown loft, mother-daughter duo Avril and Cindy Joffe are busy designing jewelry for their company, avindy. While their designs — which include gold, sterling silver, rare beads, semiprecious gemstones and diamonds — have been largely influenced by their global travels, the pair recently found inspiration from three friends who died from breast cancer. As part of their Wish Collection, Ann's Memory Hearts, Maggie's Wish and the Dori not only honor these women, but 20 percent of the proceeds from the sale of these necklaces benefit Making Memories, an organization that grants final wishes to terminally ill cancer patients. For more information about avindy and to purchase these necklaces, visit www.avindy.com. For more information about Making Memories, visit www.makingmemories.org.
