Jaci Effron opened Jac in Inman Park several months ago.

When Atlanta native Jaci Effron moved back here from New York, the writer and editor missed her old shopping haunts and saw her chance to open a one-of-a-kind boutique in Inman Park, an up-and-coming area she says has great potential.
"I wanted to open a one-stop shop, where you can find either a hostess gift or a dress at the last minitue," Effron says, adding that her items are unique with many exclusive to Jac in Atlanta, while some are even exclusive to her store in Georgia, the Southeast and even the United States.
Placed on displays bought at thrift shops, items such as high-end jeans and clothing, stationary, baby shower gifts, candles, skin-care items and hair accessories are bathed in the light flowing in from ceiling-to-floor windows, all of which gives the boutique an unpretentious aura.
Effron says she wants her customers to feel comfortable, like they're browsing through "a general store," and she also plans to start a gift registry. Jac is at 245 N. Highland Ave. For more information, visit www.dearjac.com or call (404) 681-4696.
