PALs Spotlight
For the Children
The Havinagala executive committee: (front, from left) Robin Salomonsky, Amy Fineman, Erin Ziff, Lauren Feinberg and Josh Levetan; (back, from left) Andy Deutsch, Gregg Cohen, Susan Metz, Tara Johnson and Shanna Gerson.
Some 275 people attended Havinagala at The View at King Plow on April 5. The event is the annual fundraiser for PAL, the Jewish Family & Career Services program that matches children from single-parent families with older buddies.

Dori Moss, Caryn Ellin, Joel Miller, David Ziskind (a PAL volunteer) and Lauren Goodelman toast one another while supporting the PAL big brother/big sister program.
If you are interested in becoming a PAL or learning more about the program, contact Erika Cohen at (770) 677-9310 or pal@jfcs-atlanta.org.
PAL volunteers must be at least 21, Jewish, not have young children of their own, and commit to at least a year with two visits a month and a weekly phone call with their buddy. Volunteers must also pass a criminal background check.
Jewish children ages 6 to 15 from single-parent families are accepted into the program. With a waiting list of young boys, male volunteers are especially needed.
