What's Hot?
Derma-Luxe. In the mood to be pampered in an elegant interior, all the while having your face rejuvenated, exfoliated and cleansed? Then give Derma-Luxe, with locations in Sandy Springs and Buckhead, a try. "No two facials are the same," says aesthetician Frances Justice, who says the company customizes facials based on the client's needs. And you needn't worry about your skin becoming too red, flaky and sore in the aftermath. Justice says Derma-Luxe facials take a more restorative approach rather than the breaking down and rebuilding approach at some spas. With different levels of facials, you can choose from chemical peels, exfoliation, microtherapy, masks and deep cleansings. And there's nothing more indulgent than lying in a comfy, heated bed having your face cleaned with real cherries, all culminating in a neck-and-shoulder massage. 6111 Peachtree-Dunwoody Road, (770) 351-0303; 3077 E. Shadowlawn Ave., (404) 816-6006; www.derma-luxe.com.
Tierra Salon & Spa. Proving that facials aren't just for women, Tierra Salon & Spa in Decatur caters to the "urban male" with haircut styles ranging from dapper to military, rejuvenating facials featuring everything from exfoliation to masks, and full-body massages including deep-tissue, stone and sports massages. The salon carries the "It" haircare line and is developing its own line of holistic skin care products. Owners Edgar Figueroa, Phyllis Rowe and David Maggio plan to hold "Ladies' Night" and "Couples' Night" events. A portion of all proceeds at the salon is donated to the Chris Kids Rainbow Program, the only nonprofit in the Southeast catering to homeless gay and lesbian youth. 1549 Clairmont Road, Decatur; (404) 636-3173; www.tierraformen.com.
